The Pleasant Mountain Race Team is the operating arm of the Shawnee Peak Alpine Educational Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit alpine education program that provides training and racing opportunities with professional coaches for alpine skiers of all levels from ages 6-20.(Note we run separately from both Pleasant Mt. Ski Area and the Pleasant Mt. Race Dept.)

We offer quality alpine ski racing/training opportunities in a traditional family mountain setting. As a USSS- affiliated program, we provide training and competition opportunities at both the middle school and high school levels as well as MARA/USSS age-appropriate events. Our 2025-26  40-day training calendar operates from December 13th through mid-late March, as conditions allow. Our goal is to bring a rigorous but balanced approach to alpine ski racing in a manner that fosters love of sport, alpine skiing skill development, and personal growth.

Sign up here to be included in the emails for when PMRT New Athlete Registration opens up mid-September 2026. This is specifically for potential new athletes interested in joining PMRT next season who have not raced with us before.

Note, this is a learn to race program, not a learn to ski program. Athletes and families should be dedicated to the program's time commitment, race equipment requirements AND volunteer requirements. Potential athletes should have sound skiing fundamentals and be able to ski the whole mountain.
